Your Information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be collected when you visit valerieaceron.com, why it may be used, and the choices available to you.
Effective July 5, 2026
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Valerie Aceron website at valerieaceron.com, including its Insights pages, contact features, and related pages operated under this domain. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Valerie Aceron.
We aim to handle personal information transparently and only for legitimate, relevant purposes. This policy does not control the privacy practices of external websites that you choose to visit through our links.
2. Information we may collect
Information you provide
If you contact us by email or through a working website form, we may receive your name, email address, message, business information, project details, and any other information you choose to include.
Technical information
Our web host, content delivery network, security services, or server may automatically record limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page, date and time of access, and diagnostic or security events.
Insights content
The public Insights pages retrieve published articles from a WordPress installation at /blog through the WordPress REST API. Reading those articles may create ordinary server or security logs on the main website and WordPress host.
3. How we use information
We may use personal information when reasonably necessary to:
- respond to questions, collaboration requests, and project inquiries;
- provide requested services and communicate about ongoing work;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website;
- understand general website use and improve content or accessibility;
- protect our rights, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations; and
- keep records reasonably required for business, tax, dispute, or legal purposes.
Where consent is needed for a particular use, you may withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
4. Cookies and similar technology
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand general website activity, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, traffic sources, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process technical identifiers such as an IP address according to Google’s own privacy practices. We use this information to measure performance and improve the website; we do not use it to sell personal information.
Optional analytics and marketing storage are denied by default. You can accept all optional cookies, reject them, or manage Analytics and Marketing separately through the consent banner. You can change your choice later through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Your preference is stored in your browser’s local storage so it can be applied on later visits. Marketing consent supports future campaigns; no Google advertising tag is currently active on this website.
Our hosting, security, CDN, WordPress, font, icon, and other third-party providers may also use essential cookies, request logs, local storage, or similar technologies when their resources are loaded.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential technologies may affect how some pages or external resources display.
Ask Valerie: the chatbot shown on the website is currently a “Coming Soon” preview and does not accept questions. Before an interactive AI feature is activated, this policy will be updated to explain what data it processes and which service providers are involved.
5. Third-party services and links
The website may rely on or link to services such as our web host and CDN, WordPress, Google Fonts, Font Awesome, Lucide, email providers, social networks, BizCost, and TryElvio. These providers may process technical information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Links to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, TryElvio, BizCost, or other external services take you outside this website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each external service before providing personal information.
6. Sharing, retention, and security
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help host, secure, maintain, or operate the website and communications; with professional advisers when reasonably necessary; or when required by law, legal process, or the protection of rights and safety.
Information may be processed in countries where a service provider operates. When this occurs, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and limit information to what is necessary for the service.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, ongoing communications or services, legitimate recordkeeping, security, dispute resolution, and applicable legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal information, object to certain processing, request correction, request erasure or blocking, request data portability, file a complaint, and seek damages where legally available.
To make a request, email us with enough detail to identify the relevant information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also learn more or file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for a general and business audience and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and appropriately delete it.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when website features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
